A breath of fresh air—-morality is still not trite! Despair, black and engulfing, has rendered the majority of us senseless—-let alone hopeless. We have come to believe in the worst man can believe in: nothing can be done. We have become characters in “Waiting for Godot”, who are waiting for the illusionary and elusive Godot by a tree in a desolate place, play the games of calling each other names while they wait, are both excited and afraid of the waited Godot, and know nothing about him, as he does not turn up days upon days! They can’t even hang themselves by the tree to get rid of this anxiety and meaninglessness of waiting. Yes, the way out of this theatre of the absurd is “action”, faith in ourselves and hope. Hope that translates into action. Let’s not wait for Godot; let’s not try to hang ourselves, let’s stop playing the games of calling each other names, and let us talk about our dreams, share them, spread them, promote and win support for them. Why can’t a majority of the peace-loving tolerant people unite and promote non-violence if a handful of people can unite in terror and violence? Let’s not die a death by inaction. Let’s us not commit a suicide by default.

that’s true fariha I wrote this quite sometime back but ab am feeling this way all over again. While working on this ‘mission rescue Pakistan’ people don’t seem eager to participate. Sad thing khud apnay pay bharosa hai nahin and they expect others to have faith in them ! hypocrisy !

The problem is most of do criticism just for the sake of doing it and not really for improving our faults. We always target the government and expect them to improve but seldom try to improve ourselves. If each one of us even tries to improve himself/herself ONLY…Pakistan wud be a lot better place to live.
