Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf has finally resigned from the prestigious post of the President of Pakistan . It is unfortunate as to how he resigned without giving an tough time to his rivals. I have always mentioned of not being Pro-Musharraf but his resignation did come as a shock to me . He has always posed to be a strong man and this was surely not expected of him . There must have been a lot of external and internal pressures piled up on him that is all I can think of . His speech reflected strain and pressure , this is an utter shock . The un-usual hype created by the media and PPP has actually turned out to be true . I wonder what happened to all those messages coming from the President that he will face the impeachment charges. This will surely harm his image and give the political opportunists more space .
We the team of Pro Pakistan wish that now the threat of Musharraf is over, the politicians do their best to take out the country out of the present crises instead of only blaming the past government for the misfortunes facing the country. Instead of Zardari blaming Musharraf and PML-Q, it is a golden opportunity for them to make a difference in the short life of our country, Pakistan
