The sad bitter truth about advertising beauty is ignorance of the least bit traces of ’intellectuality’. When talking about beauty pageants many have tried convincing me how it is a ’scholarship’ project and not a bunch of beauties flaunting ’stereotypes’. I beg to differ because I believe that being a size ‘0′ isn’t a very decent qualification for a supposed scholarship. So we see these beauties all painted and dawned in glitter answering tricky questions by the jury. The sensational show of flesh and ‘intelliegnce’ ending up with the ritual ‘aww’ moments. Decked up with promises to make the world a ‘better place’ ( yea right ! *smirk*).

Cutting down the criticism lightening struck me when I read the ‘intelliegent’ confessions of Miss.Dayana Mendoza who happens to be Miss.Universe 2008. On her blog Miss. Mandoza had revealed to the world what none of the supposed liberals, writers, politician, humanitarians and all those non size ‘0′ people have been able to do so. Miss. mandoza talked keenly about her visit to Guantanamo bay which in her words was a ’serene, fun and (errr) peaceful place’. After reading about her experience I had to recollect myself overwhelmed by the bile in my mouth and what one calls the death of enthusiasm.O well to each her own I say. But the media hype and buzzing continues highlighting the ‘Blonde momment’ or should I say ‘momments’ to the fullest. I suppose I will not allow Miss. Mandoza to represent the opinions of the majority of women out there. Perhaps some of us normal people back home would utilize our trip to gitmo a bit more than ‘enjoying the beach, the boats and the east-coast guys’. Sigh what ever happened to the inmates? who have been illegally detained at gitmo for years now. A little consideration about war and peace could have been a nice addition to her ‘ritual victory speech’. Too bad some of us need to learn how to cash certain experiences. I am sure even our President would have spared few words of his own after of course acknowledging our ‘alliance’ with the US. Too bad he isn’t a size zero and definitely not good looking.
On a more serious note I would rather wish the media frenzy was over a more ‘deserved’ individual. Rather than highlighting such blonde experiences mocking at the face of reality. I am sure there is a lot of material on gitmo that doesn’t involve blondes, beaches and souvenir necklaces.Back to sarcasm Miss. Mandoza has bright chance on her very authentic yet personalized fairy tale ’The beauty and the beast(s)’ perhaps?.

Well, Beauty x Brains = Constant…and she is beautiful
I think most of the media purposely sell that kind of thing to common people to divert their attention from the reality. They always try to prove that humans are another breed of sheep showing their flocking behavior. If you look around you will see how many stop, think and ask questions to themselves about their actions.
